It's Time to Get Busy

SETTING GOALS

Doubling  your Income would be a worthy goal and one I have done many times as I was building my Nikken business. Now here one can get quite overwhelmed if this is not done correctly. Doubling as I have experienced occurred over a longer time frame and with specific actions and planning. Over many years my check doubled many times from my first check of 434.00 for a month to my highest check of $140,000 for a month.

WHAT'S IMPORTANT TO KNOW

The Key to setting a goal for income is knowing what component of the business is directly related to making income and for Nikken that has always been MAKING SILVERS. When I looked back over my 27 years in the business my income was directly proportional to the number of Silvers that were created in my organization. This means that one needs only pay attention to one main area in order to double your income. THE CREATION OF SILVERS IN YOUR ORGANIATION.

SETTING TARGETS

A target is simply something you wish to hit on your way to reaching your goal. You may want to have 20 new Silvers in your organization but this month the TARGET is 2. Next month you can increase the TARGET and go for 4. As I was building my business each month I created a list of "who was going Silver" that month and that would be the FOCUS and the TARGET for producing and my attention. A little secret here and that is the whole compensation plan is based on the rank of SILVER. Today your attention is focused on the VOLUME but in reality this volume is going to occur by individuals pushing to SILVER. There is a reason for this and that is the Leadership Bonus Income starts after a person becomes Silver and is paid on the Volume from the Silvers and above who create Volume in your down-line. 

A Silver gets paid on Two levels of Silvers and above below him, a Gold three levels, a Platinum 4 levels, a Diamond 5 levels and a Royal Diamond 6 levels. Therefore you want to make sure that the people in your organization are going Silver. The volume obviously follows and as you know with the new plan you need to have a Primary and Secondary leg plus other activity. 

The point to remember is that when you focus on creating Silvers you get everything else and thus this becomes the main TARGET breaking new SILVERS.

WHERE TO FOCUS YOUR ATTENTION

I found over time that the weakest part of your organization is the bottom and this pertains to a leg or an individual if there is no organization below him. We earn when someone else buys or sells product so if there is none of this going on below you or someone in the organization then the excitement and interest will soon disappear and so will you or the distributor.

Therefore you always want to FOCUS at the bottom of a leg or on getting activity under you. And when you get activity under you help keep that going, it's the magic of this business. I had great success because I had great depth way below 6 levels under me and that is why I have never not been paid as a Royal Diamond 

MANAGE BY STATISTICS

The most interesting aspect of business is the numbers at the end of the month and the exactness of the check on the 15th of the month. These numbers aren't almost or close or maybes, they are hard and exact and they don't have any emotion attached but you can be emotional and react. The simple truth is you want to manage your business by the numbers not on how you react emotionally. Once you evaluate the numbers then you can act accordingly and that is most appropriate but so many don't pay any attention to the numbers and as a result in the end lose because they didn't pay attention


 

If we look at the chart to the left it represents my production in Volume over the past 12 months. The Red Line indicates the Trend which is this case is UP. That is the reality of my business; its moving upward over time. Now I want to increase this in the next 12 months and as a matter of fact I want to double the volume.

 

HOW TO MOVE THE LINE

We move the line ( increase production) by TARGETING making Silvers in your organization and if we look at how this is accomplished it is by doing the basics of the business. In may my QOPV was 450,000. If I want to double that then I would need 900,000 simply enough but what do I need to do to accomplish this over the next 12 months. 

Here is where most get overwhelmed because the doubled figure is quite large and can seem very out of reach. The trick is to make the TARGETS attainable. Mathematically if I were to increase my volume by 6.5% each month for 12 months I would then have doubled my initial volume after 12 months of doing this.

The target then for June would be 450,000 x 6.5% = 30,000 QOPV increase and this breaks down to approximately 5 NEW SILVERS.

Therefore I would TARGET 10 people to go Silver somewhere in my organization knowing that some may fall off and not make it. Plan in excess.


TARGET ATTAINMENT

Getting a TARGET done is critical if you want to win big with Nikken. As once you see that you can then the world is at your command. But the key is, never quit, push until you reach it and so you don't lose set the target realistically. The best way to lose is to set unreal targets.

So I know I have 1000s in my organization and to find 10 who say they want to go Silver is easy enough. However there is more to be done.


 

 


The graph to the left represents the the QOPV for the next 12 months based on an increase of 6.5% per month and the result is the QOPV doubles in 12 months which in turn means so does my income. 

Now I have a FUN GAME to play and I have the data I need  and I can communicate to my organization with a PLAN and a DIRECTION. Here is another secret of our business. Your success depends upon helping TARGET and make new Silvers I help individuals become more successful and I get what I want as well. Its a win-win proposition.

MONTHLY ACTIVITIES

Your month should be started knowing what you intend to accomplish. It defines the TARGET that you want to achieve. 

NAME IT, WANT IT and GET IT is the game. You know who you have in your group that want to play and you help set a TARGET with them.

Next is to identify the activities that needed to take place and schedule them out. Calls to make, presentations to do, meetings to attend, ABCs to set up etc., etc.

Plan out the production. How much volume is needed to create the Silver? How many days do you have to get the job done? 

Every day figure out what is left to be done to reach your TARGET. Here's another secret. What you put your attention on you will get.

Remember that the month is not over until the last minute of the last day and as long as you continue to push you can reach your Target.

AGREEMENT

In building this business it is very important to make sure that you have the agreement of whomever you are working with that they want to get the job done and are willing to do what it takes to do so. 

Once it is done you can take a break but until so keep the pressure on. Make sure that if you are helping others communicate the rules of engagement before you start, no surprises or unexplained expectations.

If you know I am going to talk to you 3 or 4 times a day and you agree to this ahead of time because it is planned and meaningful then all works fine. However if this is undefined one can become irritated and then it doesn't work.

SET THE RULES OF PLAY
